GRAND FORKS (KFGO-AM) -- A North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper escaped injury when his squad car was rear-ended twice along I-29 in grand forks Tues. morning.
The trooper was parked on the shoulder and sitting inside the car providing traffic control for a car that went into the ditch near the 32nd Ave. so. exit when another driver lost control on the ice and ran into the patrol car. A second vehicle slid on the ice and also struck hit the squad car.
Lt. Dave Wolf says the drivers of the other vehicles were not hurt. The trooper was taken to Altru Hospital to be checked over.
