SANDSTONE, Minn. (KFGO AM) -- A man shot and killed during a home invasion in Sandstone in eastern Minnesota is a former Grand Forks resident with a lengthy criminal history.
23-year old Gypsy Watts died at the scene.
Watts was 19 and living in Grand Forks when he committed several convenience store robberies in 2009.
He used a golf club and threatened to kill one clerk.
Under a deal with prosecutors, he was sentenced to four-years in prison.
Watts was shot and killed after he and at least one other person broke into the man's home planning to rob him.
Pine County authorities have arrested three persons of interest in the case.
