JAMESTOWN, ND (KFGO AM) -- The North Dakota Game & Fish Department says it has found more Silver Carp in the James River.
Aquatic Nuisance Species coordinator Fred Rykman says the invasive, adult, leaping carp that turned up during eletrofishing were only in the Jamestown area and no further downstream.
And he says no young carp were found.
Rykman says its clear Silver Carp are surviving in North Dakota but there's still a question whether the fish can reproduce.
That's what biologists are trying to determine.
The exotic species push out native fish because of their ability to consume so much food.
