It has been two years since original Three Days Grace singer Adam Gontier left the band, but the remaining members have soldiered on, and on Tuesday released new music with a new front man, Matt Walst .
The new track, "Painkiller, was simultaneously debuted on iTunes and the band's YouTube channel in an audio-only video.
The band hinted at new music with Walst in a statement posted on the group's website last Friday, confirming Walst as the new singer.
" We are happy to announce that Matt will be a part of Three Days Grace," the band wrote. "Matt has been on the road with us, and has been writing with us since 2003. Bringing Matt into the 3DG family is a no-brainer...he's always been in it."
Walst previously fronted the band, My Darkest Days , and joined Three Days Grace last February for the band's tour with Shinedown .
The band has a slew of tour dates on its schedule, kicking off April 17 at Minglewood Hall, Memphis, TN.
