FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- The Mickelson Field levee and lift station project is on track. Senator John Hoeven joined Fargo leaders in a tour of the progress.
A majority of the work should be done by this fall, and the entire project is planned to be completed next year.
The $5.4 million project is being paid for with federal, state and local money. FEMA provided $3.2 million towards the costs of the levee and lift station. It will eliminate the need for temporary emergency levees during high river levels.
