Since she burst onto the music scene last year, Lorde has won her fair share of awards, including two Grammys.  But she says she'd really like to take home at least one trophy at this Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards because she like the way they look.

Lorde will be a presenter on the VMA telecast Sunday night, and her "Royals" video is nominated in two categories: Best Female and Best Rock.  If she wins, she'll take home a shiny, silver "Moonman" trophy.  Asked by the  New Zealand Herald what she thinks her chances are, she says, "I don't know...I'm just happy to be there. I think that is the coolest-looking award, the Moonman. It would be a nice one to have, but I'm just lucky to be there. It's going to be fun."

Lorde will face some stiff competition in the Best Rock category.  “Royals” is up against “Demons” by Imagine Dragons , “Do I Wanna Know” by The Arctic Monkeys , “Fever” by The Black Keys and “Until It’s Gone” by Linkin Park . Though no rock acts are performing at this year’s VMAs, there are several other categories in which rock acts are nominated.  For example Jack White 's video for "Lazaretto" is up for Best Visual Effects, and Arcade Fire 's "Reflektor" video is up for Best Art Direction.

Here’s the list of categories with rock nominees:
