ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) -- Weekend storms spawned two tornadoes in northeastern South Dakota, one of which caused damage.
The National Weather Service says one tornado touched down Saturday evening about 7 miles west of Cresbard, but there were no reports of damage.
A second twister Saturday night touched down about 4 miles northeast of Ipswich and damaged several buildings at a farmstead.
The weather service says the rural Ipswich tornado has a preliminary rating of EF-1 on the enhanced Fujita scale. That's the second-weakest rating, with top wind speeds of 110 mph.
