Ace Frehley, Motley Crue Tribute Score Top 10 Debuts on "Billboard" Chart

The new solo album by recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ace Frehley debuted at #9 on the Billboard album chart this week, giving the founding KISS guitarist his highest charting solo album ever.  It's also his first top 10 solo record.

Frehley's Space Invader , bowed at #9 with 19,000 copies sold, surpassing the #26 peak of his self-titled 1978 debut that was one of four simultaneously released solo albums by KISS members, according to the publication. The Space Ace's album also scored the highest charting position of any KISS solo album ever.

Ace finds himself looking up at another debut this week.  An all-star country salute to Motley Crue ,  Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute to Motley Crue debuts at #5 with 31,000 copies sold.
