BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- Sen. John Hoeven says he's bringing together railroad and farm officials to address agriculture shipping delays. Hoeven says the meeting Tuesday will be attended by senior officials from BNSF Railway, American Crystal Sugar and Farmers Union.
Hoeven says he also plans to address delays in Amtrak service in North Dakota. Increased crude oil and freight shipments largely have been blamed for causing rail delays.
BNSF officials say rail service is being hampered by a wave of blizzards and subzero weather.
