HILLSBORO, N.D. (KFGO-AM) -- The long-time sheriff in Traill County is calling it quits.
Mike Crocker says he will not run for another term this year. He's served 16 years as sheriff after joining the department in 1978. Crocker, who's 61, says its time to do something else. He has filed as a candidate for county commissioner.
Crocker's chief deputy, Steve Hunt, will be on the ballot as a candidate for sheriff.
