JAMESTOWN, ND. (KFGO AM) -- There's been a significant jump in the homeless population in south-central North Dakota, but there's no shelter to help those in need.
Homeless people depend on churches and the Salvation Army, and with more people moving into the area for work, housing is very limited.
Jamestown and Valley City are looking at building shelters.
The south-central homeless coalition has been meeting monthly to identify resources available.
Members are also planning to do a long-term survey on homelessness in that region.
