Al Jourgensen will be checking into rehab center for alcohol abuse. However, the Ministry frontman revealed the news on Saturday via his Facebook page , noting he won’t be starting treatment until February 3 so that he can “get s**tfaced watching the Super Bowl on the 2nd.”
While Jourgensen prides himself on beating his addiction to drugs, the singer feels he needs some professional assistance to combat his problem with alcohol. He writes , “My sobriety will not and I repeat not knock off my sarcasm...if anything....it will intensify....I appreciate the support from my brother and family.....kicked dope and crack by myself...but I need help on this one.”
The next big thing for Jourgensen will be his upcoming series of comic books based on Ministry’s entire catalog. Titled Ministry: The Devil's Chord -- The Chronicles of Alien F. Jourgensen , the 13-issue run will follow the adventures of Alien F. Jourgensen, a young musician who discovers he has super powers. The series is expected to be unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con this year.
