The Grammy Awards didn't just send music fans to their TVs -- it sent them to their computers and mobile devices so they could tweet furiously about what was unfolding on screen.  According to Twitter, the telecast Sunday night on CBS generated 15.2 million tweets, but there were definitely a few artists who inspired the most Twitter actions.

According to Twitter , the moment during the show that generated the most tweets per minute was Imagine Dragons ' performance of their hit "Radioactive" with rapper Kendrick Lamar , with 171,593 tweets per minute.  Lorde winning the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance was next, with 152,688 tweets per minute.  The singer's performance of her hit "Royals" was third, with 146,083 tweets per minute.

Overall, Lorde won Twitter for the night: she was the artist most frequently mentioned in the Grammy tweets, followed by pop stars Beyonce and Taylor Swift .  Out of those three women, Lorde was the only one who performed and won.

Twitter has rounded up a selection of tweets from the artists, attendees, performers and winners themselves.  For example, fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff was overwhelmed watching the band's singer, Nate Ruess , duet with Pink on the telecast.

"Nate was unbelievable," he wrote. "That was the first time I got to watch nate that way. I feel closer to our audience now understanding how amazing it is to see him sing like that."
