BISMARCK, ND. (KCND AM) -- An industry task force on natural gas flaring says it expects to be able to significantly reduce flaring over the next six years.
About 30 percent of the gas in the Bakken is flared.
The task force says the industry should be able to reduce that to 15 percent in two years, and 5 to ten percent in six years.
Eric Dille of EOG Resources chairs the task force and he says it’ll take industry and the state of North Dakota working together to make that happen.
The task force has given its findings to the state Industrial Commission.
