EAST GRAND FORKS (KFGO-AM) -- An East Grand Forks contractor has been selected to work on the final phase of the Roseau flood control project. The Army Corps of Engineers says R.J. Zavoral and Sons will be paid $12 million to complete the diversion channel and inlet structures.
The flood diversion project was started in 2009 and more than $29 million has been spent already.
The diversion channel will stretch four-and-a-half miles. The project is expected to be completed by the fall of 2015.
