Billie Joe Armstrong and Norah Jones have chosen an unusual venue to release the companion video for their duet, "Kentucky." The smooth, laid-back cover, from last November's Everly Brothers tribute album, Foreverly , has debuted on the website for Surfline , a company that provides surfing forecasts and news.
The venue makes more sense when you learn that the two young surfers featured in the video swimming, playing by the shore and generally having fun in the sun are pro surfing champs Kassia Mead and Colin Whitbread .
Foreverly features Jones and Armstrong covering all the songs from the Everly Brothers' second album, 1958’s Songs Our Daddy Taught Us .
In other news, Billie Joe Armstrong's latest musical project is writing songs for These Paper Bullets , by the Yale Repertory Theatre -- yes, that Yale. It's been rumored that Armstrong will attend the first performance on March 14.
