The latest Crosses video, for "The Epilogue," is now live . The band -- which features Chino Moreno from Deftones -- has unveiled the clip on MTVU.
"The Epilogue" -- like most of Crosses' songs -- has some distinct '80s New Wave stylings. Moreno tells Rolling Stone , "[New Wave] was basically the scene that I came up on. I just happened to wind up in a metal band when I was 15."
The band's name is actually three crucifixes in a row, spoken as "crosses." Moreno says fans shouldn't be thrown off by this imagery. "A lot of bands are influenced by religious symbolism and not even necessarily Christianity or Catholicism. Our band definitely doesn't follow any of those. It's more of the aesthetic. The art [of it]."
Moreno is spending his time these days in the studio with Deftones and getting ready for that band's upcoming tour. The new material will be the band's eighth studio album.
