BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- The North Dakota University System says the investigation into Minot State University's handling of sexual abuse complaints is regarding one complaint made by a student last year.
Chief of Staff Murray Sagsveen says Minot State launched an investigation after a student filed a complaint alleging a civil rights violation. Sagsveen says the student no longer attends the university.
University and system officials investigated the complaint last year and are currently working with the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights on the matter.
The Education Department says Minot State is among 55 colleges and universities in the country included in a Title Nine investigation over sexual abuse complaints.
