GRAFTON, ND. (KFGO AM) -- The case against a Grand Forks attorney accused of criminal conspiracy to tamper with an informant has been dismissed.
Henry Howe was originally charged with conspiracy to commit murder involving an informant for the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force.
But that charge was later reduced to witness tampering and then dropped.
The Walsh County State's Attorney says new information is calling into question old evidence against Howe, meaning the state no longer has proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Howe committed the crime.
Two other men involved in the case remain in jail in Grafton and charges against them will not be dismissed.
