WAHPETON, N.D. (KFGO-AM) --Thursday marks three weeks since since Wahpeton college student Andrew Sadek walked out of his dorm and disappeared.
The high-profile case initially prompted lots of leads. But the investigation has now gone cold. State College of Science Police Sgt. Steve Helgeson says new leads are "far and few between." He's renewed the call for the public's help. Anyone with information is asked to call the tip line at 701-671-2245.
A week after Sadek disappeared, a felony arrest warrant was issued, alleging Sadek sold drugs to a police informant on campus. Helgeson says they don't know if that led to the disappearance. He says the focus remains on finding the 20-year old safe and not on the criminal charges. He says that will be dealt with later.
